comments from Philip Schroder
Please find attached some suggestions for additional roles to consider:
1.) One sector that is entirely missing is the *Further Education* / 'Adult Education' sector. I think we can adapt the roles listed under the University sector here.
2.) I re-grouped the 'Developers' sector. I think we can summarize Developers into 'Partner Developers' (LTSP, Schooltool, ...) and 'Upstream Developers' (Gnome, KDE, ...). I changed the heading from 'Developers' to *Related Communities* and added categories like 'Partner Maintainers' (MOTU), 'Upstream Maintainers' (Debian, Debian-Edu, ...), Artists, Opinion Leaders, Interest Groups, etc.
3.) To the 'OEM Organisation' role, I added the subcategory 'Manufacturers of Educ. Appliances & Peripherals' (Thin Clients, interactive Whiteboards, ...)
4.) I added the category *Development Programs* (National or NGO) with subcategories 'National Programs', 'NGO Programs', 'Hardware Refurbisher'.
5.) I added *Internet Service Providers*. In the future, ISP might offer 'Hosted Edubuntu', similar to 'Hosted Exchange Server' offerings.
A whole area that we mustn't forget is *Educational Materials Providers*. I haven't had a chance to think about decent sub-categories for this yet, though.
