New features and changes in 18.10
Core desktop and applications
Plasma 5.13: simple by default, powerful when needed
Plasma 5.13 has been developed to make it smoother to use while retaining the familiar setup. This release of Plasma is the 1st to ship with Plasma Browser Integration. Kubuntu ships the 5th scheduled bugfix release of 5.13 (5.13.5).
Kubuntu 18.10 is built on and ships with Qt 5.11
KDE Applications 18.04.3
Kubuntu comes with KDE Applications 18.04 containing all your favourite apps from KDE.
Provided is the 18.04.3 update with bugfixes and translation updates. All the KDE applications on the ISO have been ported to KDE Frameworks 5 and any remaining in the archive that aren't should fit in seamlessly.
Web browser and office suite
Firefox 61 is the default browser
LibreOffice 6.1.1 is provided by default in the full installation, and now uses the new hybrid KDE5/GTK3 integration for the 1st time.
Snap integration in Plasma Discover software centre
This is now enabled by default in 18.10.
